Air and Water Quality Working Group

Introduction

The Air and Water Quality Working Group was one of the original working groups established by the U.S. Coral Reef Task Force and was charged with developing, recommending, and seeking or securing implementation of measures necessary to reduce and mitigate coral reef ecosystem degradation due to water-borne and air-borne sources of pollution.

The Air and Water Quality Working Group focused its efforts on activities that would improve people's ability to assess the biological and physical conditions of coral reefs to better address their degradation, and the major types of pollution impacting reef ecosystems.
